About this site

An independent guide, built to save you a wasted journey

France Rail Pass exists to answer one question clearly: which Interrail or SNCF option actually suits your trip - not just which one is easiest to sell.

What we do

We're not the rail operator, and we're not Interrail. We research and explain the passes - eligibility, pricing shape, reservation rules and the restrictions that catch people out - then send you to the operator's official site to check live pricing and book.

We built dedicated pages for France specifically because it's one of the trickiest networks to use with a pass: TGV inOui and most Intercités need paid reservations, TGV Ouigo needs a (usually cheaper) reservation too, and only TER regional trains are mostly reservation-free. We also kept our "Eurail" pages live even though Eurail retired its name in September 2026, because that's still what a lot of people search for.

How we make money

Every "Check Prices" button on this site is a tracked link. Right now those links point to the official Interrail and SNCF Connect sites at no markup. Over time, some of these links may become affiliate links that pay us a small referral commission when you book - this never changes the price you pay, and we only link to the same official checkout either way.

We don't accept payment to rank one pass above another, and we don't publish sponsored reviews.

Accuracy

Keeping pass information current

Interrail adjusts pricing and rules most seasons - and just retired the Eurail brand entirely in September 2026. We label all pricing on this site as indicative and link directly to the operator for the current, bookable price - if you ever spot something out of date, let us know.
